[374] "Venerable sir, I have heard this in the presence of the Blessed One, received it in his presence: 'Ānanda, when the bodhisatta (bodhisatta) emerges from his mother's womb, before the bodhisatta has reached the ground, four young gods (devaputta) receive him and place him before his mother, saying: "May the Queen rejoice! A son of great might has been born to you."' This too, venerable sir, … This too, venerable sir, I remember as an incredible and amazing quality (acchariya abbhūtadhamma) of the Blessed One."
