[521] Bhikkhus, immediately adjacent to that Sword-Leaf Forest is a great river of caustic water. He falls into it. There he is swept along with the current, swept against the current, and swept both with and against the current. There he feels feelings (vedanā) that are painful, sharp, and severe; yet he does not die so long as that evil deed is not exhausted.
