[568] "Bhikkhu, thus do I remember the verses on the one who has an auspicious night (bhaddekaratta). Learn, bhikkhu, the summary (uddesa) and the analysis (vibhaṅga) of the one who has an auspicious night; master, bhikkhu, the summary and the analysis of the one who has an auspicious night; remember, bhikkhu, the summary and the analysis of the one who has an auspicious night. Bhikkhu, the summary and the analysis of the one who has an auspicious night are connected with the goal and are fundamental to the holy life (ādibrahmacariyaka)."
Thus spoke the young deity (devaputta) Candana; and having said this, he vanished right there.
