[570] "But do you, bhikkhu, know that son of the gods (devaputta)?"
"No, venerable sir, I do not know that son of the gods."
"Bhikkhu, that son of the gods is named Candana. Candana the son of the gods, bhikkhu, listens to the Dhamma having made it his object, having attended to it, having brought his whole mind (citta) to bear upon it, with ears intent. Well then, bhikkhu, listen and attend carefully; I will speak."
"Even so, venerable sir," that bhikkhu replied to the Blessed One.
