[671] Bhikkhus, herein, that which is insistence on local language (janapadanirutti) and overstepping of common designation (samaññā) — this is a state beset by suffering (dukkha), beset by vexation, beset by despair, beset by fever; it is the wrong way of practice. Therefore this is a state with strife (saraṇa). Bhikkhus, herein, that which is non-insistence on local language and non-overstepping of common designation — this is a state without suffering, without vexation, without despair, without fever; it is the right way of practice. Therefore this is a state without strife (araṇa).
