[672] "Bhikkhus, therefore you should train yourselves thus: 'We shall know the state (dhamma) beset by strife (saraṇa), and we shall know the state free of strife (araṇa); having known the state beset by strife and having known the state free of strife, we shall practice the way free of strife (araṇapaṭipadā).' Thus indeed, bhikkhus, should you train yourselves. And, bhikkhus, the clansman (kulaputta) Subhūti is one practicing the way free of strife."
The Blessed One said this. Satisfied, those bhikkhus delighted in the Blessed One's words.
The Araṇavibhaṅga Sutta, the Ninth, is concluded.
