[678] The Blessed One said this: "Bhikkhu, this person consists of six elements (dhātu), six bases of contact (phassāyatana), eighteen mental examinations (manopavicāra), and four foundations (adhiṭṭhāna). Standing where one stands, the streams of conceiving (maññassava) do not flow; and when the streams of conceiving do not flow, one is called a sage at peace. One should not neglect wisdom, should preserve truth, should cultivate relinquishment (cāga), and should train only in peace. This is the summary of the analysis of the six elements."
