Dakkhiṇāvibhaṅgasutta

Suttapiṭaka · Majjhimanikāya · Vol. 14 · Section 717

[717] "And how, Ānanda, is an offering (dakkhiṇā) purified neither by the giver (dāyaka) nor by the recipient (paṭiggāhaka)? Here, Ānanda, the giver is immoral, of evil character, and the recipients are immoral, of evil character. Thus indeed, Ānanda, an offering is purified neither by the giver nor by the recipient."
