[747] (Sāriputta:) "May the Venerable Channa not take the knife! May the Venerable Channa keep living! We wish the Venerable Channa to keep living. If the Venerable Channa lacks suitable food, I shall seek out suitable food for the Venerable Channa. If the Venerable Channa lacks suitable medicine, I shall seek out suitable medicine for the Venerable Channa. If the Venerable Channa lacks a proper attendant, I myself shall attend upon the Venerable Channa. May the Venerable Channa not take the knife! May the Venerable Channa keep living! We wish the Venerable Channa to keep living."
