[123] Then, when the night was far advanced, seven hundred deities (devatā) of the Satullapa host (satullapakāyikā), of surpassing beauty, illuminating the entire Maddakucchi, approached the Blessed One; having approached, they paid homage to the Blessed One and stood to one side.
