[304] "So it is, Ānanda! So it is, Ānanda! For to whom indeed, Ānanda — one who is not a fool, not full of hatred, not deluded, whose mind (citta) is not deranged — would Sāriputta not be pleasing? Sāriputta, Ānanda, is wise. Sāriputta, Ānanda, is of great wisdom. Sāriputta, Ānanda, is of broad wisdom. Sāriputta, Ānanda, is of joyous wisdom. Sāriputta, Ānanda, is of swift wisdom. Sāriputta, Ānanda, is of sharp wisdom. Sāriputta, Ānanda, is of penetrative wisdom. Sāriputta, Ānanda, is of few wishes. Sāriputta, Ānanda, is content. Sāriputta, Ānanda, is secluded. Sāriputta, Ānanda, is unentangled. Sāriputta, Ānanda, is of aroused energy (vīriya). Sāriputta, Ānanda, is one who gives counsel. Sāriputta, Ānanda, is one who patiently accepts counsel. Sāriputta, Ānanda, is a reprover. Sāriputta, Ānanda, is a censurer of evil.
