[318] Then Veṭambarī the young deva (devaputta) addressed Ākoṭaka the young deva in verse: "Even with its contrived display, the wretched jackal is never — jackal that it is — the equal of the lion. Naked, a speaker of falsehood, of suspect conduct, the teacher of a group does not resemble the good."
