[453] Then Māra the Evil One approached the Blessed One; having approached, he addressed the Blessed One in verse: "Do you lie asleep out of dullness, or are you intoxicated with poetry? Have you not goals in abundance? Alone in a secluded lodging, with a face given over to sleep — what is this, that you slumber so?"
