[753] Then the Venerable Vaṅgīsa extolled the Venerable Aññākoṇḍañña in the presence of the Blessed One with fitting verses:
"That elder Koṇḍañña, awakened in succession to the Buddha (buddhānubuddha), is one of keen exertion,
a gainer of pleasant abidings (sukhavihāra), of the seclusions (viveka), constantly.
Whatever is to be attained by a disciple who carries out the Teacher's instruction,
all that he has attained, training heedfully.
Of great might, possessed of the three true knowledges (tevijja), skilled in the course of others' minds (cetopariyāya),
Koṇḍañña, heir of the Buddha, venerates the Teacher's feet."
