[757] On one occasion the Blessed One was dwelling at Campā, on the bank of the Gaggarā lotus pond, together with a great Saṅgha of bhikkhus — some five hundred bhikkhus — and with seven hundred lay followers (upāsaka) and many thousands of deities (devatā). And there the Blessed One outshone them both in beauty and in glory.
