[312] So too, bhikkhus, for a person who is a noble disciple (ariyasāvaka), accomplished in view (diṭṭhisampanna), who has made the breakthrough (abhisametāvī), the suffering (dukkha) that has been destroyed and exhausted is indeed the greater; what remains is trifling. Compared with the former mass of suffering that has been destroyed and exhausted, it does not amount to a hundredth part, does not amount to a thousandth part, does not amount to a hundred-thousandth part — that is, this state of having at most seven more existences (sattakkhattuparamatā). Of such great benefit, bhikkhus, is the breakthrough to the Dhamma (dhammābhisamaya); of such great benefit is the obtaining of the eye of Dhamma (dhammacakkhu).
