[331] Dwelling at Sāvatthī. ... There the Blessed One ... "Bhikkhus, suppose a man were to place seven stone pebbles the size of mung beans beside Sineru, the king of mountains. What do you think, bhikkhus: which is greater — the seven stone pebbles the size of mung beans that have been placed there, or Sineru, the king of mountains?"
"This alone is greater, venerable sir, namely, Sineru, the king of mountains. Trifling are the seven stone pebbles the size of mung beans that have been placed there; compared with Sineru, the king of mountains, the seven stone pebbles the size of mung beans that have been placed there do not amount to a hundredth part, do not amount to a thousandth part, do not amount to a hundred-thousandth part."
