[384] He was dwelling at Sāvatthī … There the Blessed One … "Bhikkhus, it is by way of elements (dhātu) that beings flow together and come together: those without moral dread (anottāpī) flow together and come together with those without moral dread; those of little learning flow together and come together with those of little learning; the unwise flow together and come together with the unwise. Those with moral dread (ottāpī) flow together and come together with those with moral dread; the learned flow together and come together with the learned; the wise flow together and come together with the wise."
