[444] Dwelling at Sāvatthī ... There the Blessed One ... "Bhikkhus, this round of rebirths (saṃsāra) is without a discoverable beginning (anamatagga) ... Bhikkhus, when you see anyone who is happy and well provided for, you should come to this conclusion: 'We too have experienced the like of this over this long course of time.' For what reason? Bhikkhus, this round of rebirths is without a discoverable beginning; a first point is not discerned ... it is enough to be liberated." The second [sutta].
