[582] Dwelling at Sāvatthī… There the Blessed One… said: "Dreadful, bhikkhus, are gain, honor, and fame (lābhasakkārasiloka)… Overcome by gain, honor, and fame, bhikkhus, his mind (citta) consumed by them, Devadatta split the Saṅgha. So dreadful, bhikkhus, are gain, honor, and fame… thus should you train." The first.
