[707] Then, in the evening, the Blessed One emerged from seclusion and went to the assembly hall; having approached, he sat down on the seat that had been prepared. Having sat down, the Blessed One addressed the bhikkhus: "Bhikkhus, who now has been instructing, encouraging, inspiring, and gladdening the bhikkhus in the assembly hall with a talk on the Dhamma — with speech that is polished, fluent, faultless, conveying the meaning, pertinent, and independent?"
"Venerable sir, the Venerable Visākha Pañcālaputta has been instructing, encouraging, inspiring, and gladdening the bhikkhus in the assembly hall with a talk on the Dhamma — with speech that is polished, fluent, faultless, conveying the meaning, pertinent, and independent."
Then the Blessed One addressed the Venerable Visākha Pañcālaputta: "Good, good, Visākha! It is good that you, Visākha, instruct the bhikkhus with a talk on the Dhamma … conveying the meaning, pertinent, and independent."
