[708] This the Blessed One said. Having said this, the Sugata, the Teacher, further said this: Though mingled among fools, people do not know the wise man if he does not speak; but they know the one who speaks, teaching the state of the deathless (amata). Let him speak the Dhamma, let him illuminate it, let him raise the banner of the seers. The seers have well-spoken words as their banner, for the Dhamma is the banner of the seers. The Seventh.
