[240] Bhikkhus, there is in the world a world-phenomenon (lokadhamma); the Tathāgata fully awakens to it and fully comprehends it. Having fully awakened to it and fully comprehended it, he declares it, teaches it, makes it known, establishes it, discloses it, analyzes it, and makes it plain. And what, bhikkhus, is the world-phenomenon in the world that the Tathāgata fully awakens to and fully comprehends, and, having fully awakened to it and fully comprehended it, declares, teaches, makes known, establishes, discloses, analyzes, and makes plain? Form (rūpa), bhikkhus, is a world-phenomenon in the world; the Tathāgata fully awakens to it … makes it plain. Bhikkhus, when it is thus being declared, taught, made known, established, disclosed, analyzed, and made plain by the Tathāgata, whoever does not know and does not see — what can I do, bhikkhus, with that foolish worldling, blind, sightless, not knowing, not seeing? Feeling (vedanā), bhikkhus … Perception, bhikkhus … Volitional formations, bhikkhus … Consciousness, bhikkhus, is a world-phenomenon in the world; the Tathāgata fully awakens to it and fully comprehends it. Having fully awakened to it and fully comprehended it, he declares it, teaches it, makes it known, establishes it, discloses it, analyzes it, and makes it plain. Bhikkhus, when it is thus being declared, taught, made known, established, disclosed, analyzed, and made plain by the Tathāgata, whoever does not know and does not see — what can I do, bhikkhus, with that foolish worldling, blind, sightless, not knowing, not seeing?
