Culapaṇṇāsaka

[276] And what, Bhikkhus, is the portion that is the origin of identity (sakkāyasamudayanta)? It is this craving (taṇhā) that leads to renewed existence, accompanied by delight and lust, delighting here and there; that is: craving for sensual pleasures, craving for existence, craving for non-existence. This, Bhikkhus, is called the portion that is the origin of identity.
