[378] At Sāvatthī. Sitting to one side, the Venerable Rādha said this to the Blessed One: "Venerable sir, it is said, 'subject to Māra (māradhamma), subject to Māra.' What now, venerable sir, is subject to Māra?"
"Form (rūpa), Rādha, is subject to Māra; feeling (vedanā) is subject to Māra; perception (saññā) is subject to Māra; volitional formations (saṅkhārā) are subject to Māra; consciousness (viññāṇa) is subject to Māra. Seeing thus … he understands: '… there is no more of this state of being.'"
