[386] At Sāvatthī. Sitting to one side, the Venerable Rādha said this to the Blessed One: "Venerable sir, it is said, 'subject to vanishing, subject to vanishing (vayadhamma).' What now, venerable sir, is subject to vanishing?"
"Form (rūpa), Rādha, is subject to vanishing; feeling (vedanā) is subject to vanishing; perception (saññā) is subject to vanishing; volitional formations (saṅkhārā) are subject to vanishing; consciousness (viññāṇa) is subject to vanishing. Seeing thus … he understands: '… there is no more coming back to this state of being.'"
