[387] At Sāvatthī. Seated to one side, the Venerable Rādha said this to the Blessed One: "Venerable sir, it is said, 'subject to origination (samudayadhamma), subject to origination.' What now, venerable sir, is subject to origination?"
"Form (rūpa), Rādha, is subject to origination; feeling (vedanā) is subject to origination; perception (saññā) is subject to origination; volitional formations (saṅkhārā) are subject to origination; consciousness (viññāṇa) is subject to origination. Seeing thus … he understands: '… there is no more coming to any state of being such as this.'"
