"Bhikkhus, form is suffering (dukkha); whatever cause and whatever condition there is for the arising of form, that too is suffering. Bhikkhus, form having originated from what is suffering — how could it be happiness? Feeling (vedanā) is suffering. Perception is suffering. Volitional formations are suffering. Consciousness is suffering; whatever cause and whatever condition there is for the arising of consciousness, that too is suffering. Bhikkhus, consciousness having originated from what is suffering — how could it be happiness?
