[503] At Sāvatthī. "Bhikkhus, the desire and lust (chandarāga) for the perception of forms — this is a corruption of the mind (upakkilesa). The desire and lust for the perception of sounds … for the perception of odours … for the perception of tastes … for the perception of tangibles … the desire and lust for the perception of dhammas — this is a corruption of the mind. Bhikkhus, when a bhikkhu … among the dhammas to be realized by direct knowledge (abhiññā)."
