[504] Sāvatthī. Bhikkhus, the desire and lust (chandarāga) for volition regarding forms (rūpasañcetanā) — this is a corruption of the mind (citta). The desire and lust for volition regarding sounds … for volition regarding odours … for volition regarding tastes … for volition regarding tangibles … for volition regarding dhammas — this is a corruption of the mind. Bhikkhus, when a bhikkhu … in the dhammas to be realized by direct knowledge (abhiññā).
