[53] The five aggregates (pañcakkhandhā), truly, are burdens, and the person is the bearer of the burden. The taking up of the burden is suffering (dukkha) in the world; the laying down of the burden is happiness. Having laid down the heavy burden, not taking up another burden, having drawn out craving (taṇhā) together with its root, one is free from hunger, fully quenched.
