[530] Sāvatthī. There… "Bhikkhus, there are these four modes of generation (yoni) of supaṇṇas. Which four? Egg-born (aṇḍaja) supaṇṇas, womb-born (jalābuja) supaṇṇas, moisture-born (saṃsedaja) supaṇṇas, and spontaneously born (upapātika) supaṇṇas. These, bhikkhus, are the four modes of generation of supaṇṇas."
