[26] "Bhikkhus, I will teach you the Dhamma for abandoning the all (sabba) through direct knowledge (abhiññā) and full understanding (pariññā). Listen to it. And what, bhikkhus, is the Dhamma for abandoning the all through direct knowledge and full understanding? The eye, bhikkhus, is to be abandoned through direct knowledge and full understanding; forms are to be abandoned through direct knowledge and full understanding; eye-consciousness is to be abandoned through direct knowledge and full understanding; eye-contact (phassa) is to be abandoned through direct knowledge and full understanding; and whatever feeling (vedanā) arises with eye-contact as condition—whether pleasant, painful, or neither-painful-nor-pleasant—that too is to be abandoned through direct knowledge and full understanding. … "The tongue is to be abandoned through direct knowledge and full understanding; tastes are to be abandoned through direct knowledge and full understanding; tongue-consciousness is to be abandoned through direct knowledge and full understanding; tongue-contact is to be abandoned through direct knowledge and full understanding; and whatever feeling arises with tongue-contact as condition—whether pleasant, painful, or neither-painful-nor-pleasant—that too is to be abandoned through direct knowledge and full understanding. The body is to be abandoned through direct knowledge and full understanding. "The mind is to be abandoned through direct knowledge and full understanding; dhammas are to be abandoned through direct knowledge and full understanding; mind-consciousness is to be abandoned through direct knowledge and full understanding; mind-contact is to be abandoned through direct knowledge and full understanding; and whatever feeling arises with mind-contact as condition—whether pleasant, painful, or neither-painful-nor-pleasant—that too is to be abandoned through direct knowledge and full understanding. This, bhikkhus, is the Dhamma for abandoning the all through direct knowledge and full understanding." The third.
