[371] But, bhikkhus, when the instructed noble disciple (ariyasāvaka) is touched by a painful feeling (vedanā), he does not sorrow, does not grow weary, does not lament, does not beat his breast and wail, and does not fall into confusion. He feels only one feeling — a bodily one, not a mental one.
