[406] But further, bhikkhus, I have declared the successive stilling of formations (anupubbasaṅkhārā): for one who has attained the first jhāna, speech is stilled … For a bhikkhu whose taints (āsava) are destroyed, lust (rāga) is stilled, hatred is stilled, delusion is stilled.
