[472] "Anuruddha, a woman possessing five qualities, with the breaking up of the body, after death, is reborn in a state of deprivation, a bad destination, the lower realm, hell. Which five? She is without faith (saddhā), without moral shame (hiri), without fear of wrongdoing (ottappa), miserly (macchariya), and lacking in wisdom (duppañña). Possessing these five qualities, Anuruddha, a woman, with the breaking up of the body … is reborn in a state of deprivation, a bad destination, the lower realm, hell." The eighth [sutta].
