[555] Then, when that night had passed, in the morning, the elder bhikkhus dressed, took their bowls and robes, and approached the cowshed of the householder Citta; having approached, they sat down on the seats that had been prepared. Then the householder Citta, with his own hand, served and satisfied the elder bhikkhus with exquisite milk-rice with ghee. Then the elder bhikkhus, when they had eaten and had withdrawn their hands from their bowls, rose from their seats and departed. And the householder Citta, having said, "Distribute the remainder," followed close behind the elder bhikkhus. Now on that occasion it was hot and sweltering; and those elder bhikkhus went along with bodies that seemed, as it were, to be melting, as happens to those who have eaten such a meal.
