In the case of that man who engages in sexual misconduct (kāmesu micchācāra) — comparing occasion with occasion, whether by night or by day — which time is greater: the time when he engages in sexual misconduct, or the time when he does not engage in sexual misconduct?"
"Venerable sir, in the case of that man who engages in sexual misconduct — comparing occasion with occasion, whether by night or by day — the time when he engages in sexual misconduct is the lesser; rather, the time when he does not engage in sexual misconduct is the greater."
"'By whatever one frequently, repeatedly dwells in, headman, by that one is led on.' Such being the case, no one at all will be destined for a state of deprivation (apāya), destined for hell (niraya), according to the word of Nigaṇṭha Nāṭaputta."
