[1115] "Bhikkhus, whatever ascetics or brahmins in the past produced spiritual power (iddhi) in full, all of them did so because they had developed and cultivated these same four bases of spiritual power (iddhipāda). Whatever ascetics or brahmins in the future will produce spiritual power in full, all of them will do so because they will have developed and cultivated these same four bases of spiritual power. Whatever ascetics or brahmins at present produce spiritual power in full, all of them do so because they have developed and cultivated these same four bases of spiritual power."
