Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Mahāvaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 19 · Section 1187

[1187] And how, bhikkhus, does a bhikkhu, with a mind that is open and unenveloped, develop a mind (citta) imbued with luminosity? Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu's perception of light (ālokasaññā) is well grasped, his perception of day (divāsaññā) is well established. It is in this way, bhikkhus, that a bhikkhu, with a mind that is open and unenveloped, develops a mind imbued with luminosity.
