[1275] "Friend Sāriputta, the four establishments of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna) should be entered upon and dwelt in by a bhikkhu who is one beyond training (asekkha). Which four? Here, friend, a bhikkhu dwells contemplating the body in the body, ardent, clearly comprehending, mindful, having removed covetousness and grief regarding the world. In feelings (vedanā) … in the mind (citta) … in dhammas, he dwells contemplating dhammas in dhammas, ardent, clearly comprehending, mindful, having removed covetousness and grief regarding the world. Friend Sāriputta, these four establishments of mindfulness should be entered upon and dwelt in by a bhikkhu who is one beyond training."
