[1339] Therefore, bhikkhus, if a bhikkhu should wish: "With the fading away of rapture (pīti), may I dwell equanimous, and, mindful and clearly comprehending, may I experience happiness with the body — that of which the noble ones declare: 'He is equanimous, mindful, a dweller in happiness' — may I enter upon and dwell in the third jhāna," then this very concentration (samādhi) through mindfulness of breathing (ānāpānasati) should be carefully attended to.
