[1352] Then the Blessed One approached the attendance hall; having approached, he sat down on the seat that had been prepared. Having sat down, the Blessed One addressed the bhikkhus: "Bhikkhus, this concentration (samādhi) by mindfulness of breathing (ānāpānasati) too, when developed and made much of, is both peaceful and sublime, unadulterated, a pleasant dwelling; and it makes evil, unwholesome states, whenever they arise, disappear and subside on the spot."
