[1353] Bhikkhus, just as, in the last month of the hot season, when dust and dirt (rajojalla) have been stirred up, a great unseasonal rain cloud makes it vanish and settles it on the spot; even so, bhikkhus, concentration (samādhi) by mindfulness of breathing (ānāpānasati), when developed and made much of, is peaceful and sublime, an unadulterated and pleasant dwelling, and it makes evil, unwholesome states, whenever they have arisen, vanish and settle on the spot.
