[1396] "Ānanda, on whatever occasion a bhikkhu carefully looks on with equanimity at the mind (citta) thus concentrated — on that occasion the equanimity factor of awakening (upekkhāsambojjhaṅga) is aroused in the bhikkhu; on that occasion the bhikkhu develops the equanimity factor of awakening; on that occasion the equanimity factor of awakening comes to fulfillment by development in the bhikkhu."
