[1400] "And what, Ānanda, is the one dhamma which, when developed and made much of, fulfils four dhammas; and what are the four dhammas which, when developed and made much of, fulfil seven dhammas; and what are the seven dhammas which, when developed and made much of, fulfil two dhammas? Concentration (samādhi) through mindfulness of breathing (ānāpānasati), Ānanda, is the one dhamma which, when developed and made much of, fulfils the four establishments of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna); the four establishments of mindfulness, when developed and made much of, fulfil the seven factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga); the seven factors of awakening, when developed and made much of, fulfil true knowledge and liberation (vijjāvimutti)."
