[1419] "Therefore, Dīghāvu, you should train thus: 'I will be possessed of confirmed confidence (aveccappasāda) in the Buddha: "Thus indeed is that Blessed One: an arahant, perfectly enlightened, accomplished in true knowledge (vijjā) and conduct, fortunate, knower of the world, unsurpassed trainer of persons to be tamed, teacher of devas and humans, enlightened, blessed." In the Dhamma … In the Saṅgha …. I will be possessed of the virtues dear to the noble ones—unbroken … conducive to concentration (samādhi).' Thus, Dīghāvu, should you train."
