[1420] "Venerable sir, those four factors of stream-entry (sotāpattiyaṅga) that have been taught by the Blessed One — those qualities are found in me, and I am seen to conform to those qualities. For I, venerable sir, am possessed of confirmed confidence (aveccappasāda) in the Buddha: 'Thus indeed is that Blessed One … the Teacher of devas and humans, the Enlightened One, the Blessed One.' In the Dhamma … in the Saṅgha … And I am possessed of the virtues dear to the noble ones (ariyakantāni sīlāni) — unbroken … conducive to concentration (samādhi)."
"Therefore, Dīghāvu, being established in these four factors of stream-entry, you should further develop the six things that pertain to true knowledge."
