Veḷudvāreyyasutta

[1468] When this was said, the brahmins and householders of Veḷudvāra said this to the Blessed One: "Excellent, Master Gotama! … We go to Master Gotama for refuge, and to the Dhamma, and to the Saṅgha of bhikkhus. Let Master Gotama remember us as lay followers (upāsakas) who have gone for refuge for life, from this day forward."
