[1500] "It is good, dear sir Moggallāna, to be possessed of confirmed confidence (aveccappasāda) in the Buddha: 'Thus indeed is that Blessed One … the teacher of devas and humans, the Enlightened One, the Blessed One.' Because of being possessed of confirmed confidence in the Buddha, dear sir Moggallāna, some beings here, with the breaking up of the body, after death, are reborn in a good destination, in a heavenly world.
"It is good, dear sir Moggallāna, [to be possessed of confirmed confidence] in the Dhamma … in the Saṅgha….
"It is good to be possessed of the virtues dear to the noble ones (ariyakanta sīla)—unbroken … conducive to concentration (samādhi). Because of being possessed of the virtues dear to the noble ones, dear sir Moggallāna, some beings here, with the breaking up of the body, after death, are reborn in a good destination, in a heavenly world."
